Andy March 10, 2010 at 1:15 pm: This battery works so well I just picked up a second one for my GPS 496. Most of the rentals don’t seem to have a 12 or 24v plug. These are cheap insurance when you need to leave the XM weather plugged in. Otherwise, unplug the XM antenna after the first couple of updates, then plug it in once an hour for an additional update to conserve the battery power.
