I have had this unit for over a year. Very disapointing unit. Bought another Garmin.
when did this gps come out?
****WARNING****Shoppers: TomTom’s no longer offer FM transmitting of voice instruction but TomTom & its retailers continue to FALSELY ADVERTISE the feature. Existing TomTom users: if you update firmware above 8.01 you LOSE the feature also. TomTom has disabled this feature for the entire world. Garmin, took a much more logical approach & only disabled it in 2 European countries that ban FM tranmission. BUY THE GARMIN – better maps and no tough updates or fake advertising.
The voice recognition on this one is crap and only for address while the Garmin 880 is fully voice recognition on every aspect of the unit for the same price of this Tom Tom if u search carefully online.
Ive got one of these realy excellent. But there is always is a but. I dont like how the voice reads out the road  as ROD instead of ROAD.
